#notakaki : Enchanting Pleasures by Eloisa James

Lady Gabrielle Jerningham had travelled from India to London to be married to her father's best friend's son, Peter Dewland. Being raised outside of London society makes Gabby, as she is fondly known, different. She is half French. She is curvy. She is an outspoken and witty.

Peter is the second son of Viscount Dewland. He appreciated women who is tall, graceful, sylphs, cool and sophisticated. He loved women whose personal taste made them a match for his exquisitely groomed personality.

Could their marriage work despite the glaring differences?

Can an immaculate and proper Peter cultivate fineness required by the London ton into a voluptuous chatterbox Lady?

Add into the picture, Peter's older brother, Erskine Dewland or Quill, a shrewd investor and businessman. An accident years before has left him plagued by headaches - the kind that grows more excruciating with strenuous exercises for days much to their father dismay.

Which make Gabby questioned Quill why she was betrothed to the second son of the family?

Why didn't the family informed her father, Lord Richard Jerningham about the mistake?

Or was it not a mistake at all?

Gabby came to London with a mission. A promise she would never betray. A promised to protect with her own life if needed be. A promised that will have a huge impact in British foreign policy, stir up the management of East India Company and the Indian monarchy.

Nobody ever think twice what Gabby able to do. Nobody even look at her with admirable eyes. They laughed. They made jokes about her but Gabby never let those dampened her responsibility. She did what needed to be done effortlessly in the upper circle of British political society without them knowing the truth.

But not everybody can be fooled by the chatter Lady. Being a sharp investor and successful businessman makes Quill able to see more in depth into the whole situation. He believed Gabby was hiding or protecting something or someone and he's going to find out.
